Professor of Rural Economy and Sustainability within the School of Geosciences, University of Edinburgh. Director of the School’s Centre for the study of Environmental Change and Sustainability. Co-ordinator of various European Commission projects. Lead author to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) 2nd, 3rd and 4th Assessment Reports (Working Group II). Author of more than 90 international publications in journals and books. His research interest includes land use responses to environmental change; spatial analysis and modelling of land use change systems; climate change impact and adaptation assessment; foresight analysis and environmental change futures. |
讲座内容简介：
In this lecture, Prof. Mark Rounsevell will review the latest development of land use system research in rural and urban areas and the effects of policy in climate change and carbon emission control. By this opportunity, he will also discuss about the land system research in IPCC report and earth system models.
